Joining
the ICCN
The ICCN is eager to welcome new members and to support the establishment of new climate councils based on its five guiding principles.
National-level advisory councils
The ICCN is aimed at national-level advisory councils which have a mandate to provide expert, evidence-led advice to governments on climate mitigation and adaptation, or act as monitors of government action. The ICCN welcomes new members that meet these criteria and that agree to its Terms of Reference.
The ICCN promotes the valuable role of climate councils to the public and to decision makers with the aim of supporting the establishment and development of new councils.
If your organisation is interested in joining the ICCN or if you are interested in establishing a climate council in your country, please contact us. A broad and inclusive approach shall be applied when considering if an organisation is suitable for participation in the ICCN.
